  • Scrolling through perfect profile pictures and reels, silently wondering why I don’t have it all together like she does! With perfectly matched outfit, flawless make up and hair, her life is perfect. Did I mention she has dazzling white teeth??

My gray roots are shining like the sun, my makeup always looks splotchy and my graphic tee-shirts are hardly fashionable. If you see my teeth in a smile they are less than dazzling white. Ugh! If only, I could look like her.

Friend, you can sit and compare every part of your life to the filtered, perfectly lit and staged photos on social media, while your confidence and joy in who God made you slips away.

Don’t do it! You are fearfully and wonderfully made! God knit you together in your mamas womb. You are precious in His sight.. without filters or perfect lighting.

  • Many of us have been through some junk in our lives. Junk like, divorce, abandonment, abuse, rejection, and addiction, never being picked, only picked on!

Friend, lift up your head and lock eyes with Jesus, He has chosen you, yes, you are a chosen daughter of the King of the Universe! He said, “You did not choose me, I chose you.” Jesus, will never leave you or forsake you, He wants you, junk from our past and all, He loves us unconditionally, you have been chosen.

  • Confession time, I am a control freak! There I said it, I have a tendency to think my way is the only way. I am also a worrier.. I know worry is like a rocking chair, it gives me something to do but gets me nowhere! (Grandma Noodles told me this all time!)

Friend did you know as long as we try to control, and run our own lives, Jesus will let us! What?? Yes, Jesus has a perfect plan for us but we have to get out of the way and allow that plan in our lives.

Honey, be encouraged, God is still working on us.. if we will let Him he can take away that need for control and worry. As we learn to totally trust God those control issues start to diminish.

“For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.” —Deuteronomy 7:6
