Honey, Be Encouraged

Did you know that the honey bee aerodynamically shouldn't be able to fly?? It's body is too big for its little wings. But the honeybee doesn't know that, so it flies anyway. It's another one of those wonderful ways God shows us that the impossible is possible with Him. His word reminds us, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Phil. 4:13.

Maybe you are like me and the honey bee, maybe you are burdened down with worry, stress and the craziness of life. Maybe the weight of the world feels like it is crushing you. Perhaps you feel there is no way in the world you can fly, as it seems just getting out of bed and walking is a struggle.  Well, honey be encouraged, the Good, Good Father is with you to take the burden and give you lift off. Just like the little honey bee who's heavy body should be too much for it's winds to carry, our struggles are too much for us to carry on our own as well. But, oh when we give those burdens over to our heavenly Father, He takes our burdens and lifts them off our shoulders and the next thing you know.. you are flying! The message version of God's word says in Matthew 11:28-30 "Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take real rest. Walk with me and work with me, watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly." 

Now I don't know about you but that sounds like an offer I cannot refuse! Real rest and peace! Honey, be encouraged, Jesus is reliable, and will take your burdens and give your real rest, all you have to do is ask. Give it all to Jesus, take a deep breath, relax and just fly!
