Honey, Be Encouraged
In 2007, my mom passed away and I finalized my divorce all in the month of April. I started writing “letters” to my mom and journaling my thoughts and prayers. God spoke to my heart and I started writing a blog about a lot of my life experiences that I thought and hoped could help other women. Women who have loved and loss, been rejected, abandoned and women who just need some encouragement to know they are not alone in this crazy world.
“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”
—1 Thessalonians 5:11
Scars & Wrinkles
When I was a little girl, I liked to snuggle up to Grandma "Noodles" Reynolds and hold her hand and I always squished together the skin on the back of her hands! Grandma's hands were soft but wrinkly and had some sun, and age spots as well.
Friends & Encouragers Needed
Do you have that one woman that you look up to, and who you go to for advice, that one woman who you really trust? I have been privileged to have two women in my life that I looked up to who I could trust, women who taught me, loved me and mentored me, my mom and my grandma.
The Best Gift
As Christmas is just a few days away I sit here and think about all the gifts I have received through my 45 years of life. I mean there was that great Barbie house and those awesome roller skates! My husband is also a great giver, Amazon has sent many boxes to my house this week alone, which I am sure will be awesome!
Take A Stand
I have always been a peacemaker, a people pleaser, a stand backer (not sure that's an actual word but it is in my dictionary!) I have often let others run over me, often let others say what they think and I just keep the peace and walk away.
